Our sign is up!

Our beautiful new gold leaf South Carolina Maritime Museum sign was installed on Friday, May 25th. Installation began at 6 am and was finished by 10 am thanks to Dan Skerman and Don Trimble. We are fortunate to have a master sign maker, Len anderson, on our museum board. Len is one of the founding members of the Harbor Historical Association. Back in the early ’90’s he was the guy who sprouted the notion of establishing a maritime museum in Georgetown (and then charmed us all into going along with him). Len has been planning to build this sign for years. Our new sign looks fantastic! We count this as another milestone for the SC Maritime Museum. Thanks Len!
